Pfizer introduces new Lipitor ads

For the week of September 2:

Pfizer, which stopped advertising its Lipitor drug six months ago after complaints of misleading information, has a new ad for the heart drug.

The spots feature John Erlendson, a 58-year-old California talent agent and heart attack survivor. Previous ads used Robert Jarvik, the inventor of the artificial heart, but not a practicing medical doctor.

While the ads are similar - placing Erlendson in an outdoors scene - they focus on his personal experience rather than his expertise.
