J&J lawsuit thrown out
Most of a J&J lawsuit, filed against the American Red Cross in August, was tossed out by a federal judge Thursday. That part of the suit had claimed th the nonprofit was using the iconic red cross logo for profit.
The ruling allows the Red Cross, which released a statement saying it was “vindicated,” to maintain its use of the logo when selling its health and safety products.
J&J, though, can still use the logo. Last summer, the company had blogged about its decision to sue. PRWeek also reported on comms issues stemming from the healthcare company’s lawsuit.
